Every piece of wood can become part of a story.
My name is Gianluca, and I’m the maker behind GianlucaWoods.
I was born in Italy in 1973, and woodworking has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. Over the years, I’ve worked extensively with wood, learning the craft from many different perspectives — from traditional woodworking techniques, tools and lathes to machinery and CNC technology.
As a CNC programmer, I learned to combine precision and technology with something I’ve always loved: creating with my hands.
Life eventually took me from Italy to Spain for love, where my wife Cristina and I built our life and family together. In 2020, my experience, creativity and passion for woodworking became GianlucaWoods, a small family business and a project that we share together. I’m usually the one designing and building in the workshop, but Cristina and our two children are very much part of the journey — helping, sharing ideas and adding their own perspective along the way.

In 2024, our journey brought us to Utah, a place we now proudly call home and where a new chapter of GianlucaWoods is taking shape.
At GianlucaWoods, modern technology is part of the process, but it never replaces craftsmanship. I use CNC technology and modern tools alongside traditional woodworking techniques to create precise, detailed designs. Then comes one of the most important parts: the human touch.
Each piece is assembled and finished individually, with its special details and personal touches painted by hand. No two stories are exactly alike, and I believe the pieces that tell them shouldn’t be either.

A favorite place. A family adventure. A wedding or a new baby. A profession. Someone special. A moment you never want to forget.
Many of my projects begin with something as simple as a photograph, an idea or a memory. From there, I design, cut, shape, assemble, hand-paint and finish each creation, turning that story into something tangible and made to last.
My journey from Italy to Spain and now Utah has shaped who I am and the way I create. I find inspiration in family, different cultures, nature, the mountains and, above all, the stories people trust us to bring to life in wood.
At GianlucaWoods, we don’t just make things from wood.
We create pieces of your story.
